Arts And Commerce College,
Gadag – Betgeri
The renowned KLE’S Arts and Commerce College located at Gadag-Betageri was established in 1985 with the efforts of the Akkana Balaga (Local Ladies Association) and the blessings of the pontiff Jagadguru Tontadarya Math Gadag. When started, it was Women’s Arts College, the only college meant for women in Gadag District. Initially the college was permanently affiliated to Karnatak University Dharwad and later in 2004 with the launching of Women’s University at Vijapur, the affiliation automatically got transferred to Karnataka State Women’s University Vijapur. In the mean while the college came under the fold of UGC’s 2 (f) and 12(B) in 2003. The college was re-accredited with “B++” Grade by NAAC in 2017. Due to several reasons the management decided to introduce co-education and accordingly got the approval from Karnataka State Government and affiliation from Karnataka University Dharwad in the year 2011. The college boosts of having unique building with state -of -art facilities both in academic and non-academic spheres.
